Mr. DJ – Alexander The feat. Belle

// September 14th, 2011 // No Comments » // Pacific Blues

MR DJ This is a new project I’m working on that’s straight from my heart & soul. Taking music to a new echelon. I’m crossing oceans for this one. Recorded an artist, Belle, from the Philippines and sampled a popular old Filipino melody and crashed it with my rhythms. First up is Mr. DJ.

Introducing The Tree

// April 27th, 2011 // No Comments » // Across Boundaries

Earlier this year I found myself in the midst of an incredible creation. From my fortunate involvement with a great organization out of Toronto called Across Boundaries I am sitting at the forefront with some of the most inspiring people I have ever met. Collectively we have created a project now known as The Tree.

An instrumentation and exploration with a group whose story inspires and impresses. The Across Boundaries organization employs a holistic approach to mental health care and operate within an anti-racism framework, and together our music group has created a project we will be releasing later this year. For you, my incredibly supportive network I present a first look into this project.

THE PAST HAS RETURNED TO HAUNT…

To those of ghoolish grimace,

Just in time for Halloween comes Dark Matter; an hour long, fourteen track mixtape diving into my haunted past. This eerie exploration of days gone bye is best listened to walking the streets on all hallows eve in search of goblins and ghouls.

Dark Matter will be streamed for two weeks starting October 26, for free, on CBC Radio 3. The album is available for digital purchase for $8.99 through The REMIX Project with $3 from every purchase being donated to the charity.

Across Boundaries

// August 20th, 2010 // No Comments » // PROJECTS

I am fortunate to be involved with a great organization out of Toronto called Across Boundaries. Across Boundaries is a mental health centre that provides a range of support and services to people of color in the Greater Toronto Area who are experiencing severe mental health problems/serious mental illness.  The organization employs a holistic approach to mental health care and operate within an anti-racism framework. I am often invited to use my music to provide holistic therapy in this model for this influential organization. This unique and inspiring experience provides me the opportunity to guide individuals with music bridge issues of unity, understanding, piece of mind, and communal experience by working together to create something special.
