A Sleepless Experience

kawayan-from-holga

2 Months and a week later and here I am finally posting.  If you don’t know I just had a son Fall 2009.  I have been wildly busy on that front and am now getting my world together again.  It was an amazing time uplugged from this Matrix, unplugged from the system.  Kicked back in front of firepits, friends and family.  My son, Kawayan, has been sending me telepathic messages to keep pushing the music. Just the other night he wouldn’t let me lie before 5am before I finished a hype new beat. If I sat he cried,  when I created he quietly lied.

So as a celebration to the birth of my iLLest one, Kawayan Alexander Punzalan here is a track/instrumental of the 6th draft track for Fe’ne-tiks.  The interesting sound is an instrument made of Bamboo, coincedientally Kawayan means Bamboo in Tagalog (national Filipino language).  Enjoy.

I’ll be posting on the regular from here on. Even with Kawayan’s arrival the world in no way has hit pause, and EVERYTHING is moving forward at an incredible rate. Hit me a comment and tell me what you think. 2010 is going to be a big one.

Oh Woman Video x ARCSEA

// September 21st, 2009 // No Comments » // [fe'ne-tik-s]

My heritage lies in the tribal villages of the Philippines. This video set to Oh Woman is shot with the kids of the Manubo tribes in Mindanao with Kulintang of the Muslim culture in the south. These children are benefiting from the work of the Association for the Rights of Children in South East Asia. Thanks to organizations like ARCSEA that work to protect the rights of children throughout the Philippines, I was able to capture this joy filled video on a beautiful during my travels a short time ago.

Oh Woman

I follow the sun.  The frequency beats blue silent lullibies.  Televised and ready to strike violently through your electronic thoughts.  The power of our drums beat to us & you will forever hear it.  In a womb of time where my phonetic eye was non-existent & my magical ear was torn to the rumble of the bass that is heavily rotating my planet cuz she beats her floor constantly for more of me & preparing a chaotic story to come.

Forever Soon

The colour is Jasmine Green. The sun is left hiding in the clouds. I am stuck to my ambitions so listen to the sirens when my love comes crashing through the city.

A whirl wind close to home. My headquarters had shattered glass everywhere. Tamil highway blockades to my unjustified caregivers. This Janina train has let loose. Overstock on the tired poets & a brick thru my reflection. I think it’s time to start a riot.
