Broad Way Sleep Live in Concert

On August 12th, Broad Way Sleep performed live at Lula Lounge. The group performed its entire debut album, as well as new unreleased material. In addition to the core cast of Broad Way Sleep, Ralph Joseph, Arowbe, Sarah Shafey and Alexander The, they were joined onstage by an amazing line-up of guest artists, including Mz. Tanika Chawls, Rique Franks, Devrim Eldelkli as well as Peter Murray and Giampaolo Scatozza (of Groove Armada).
Much love to all who came out to support, the next Broad Way Sleep performance will be at Toronto’s TEDx event coming up on September 30th at Glen Gould studio.
Alexander The x Broad Way Sleep – Unplugged

Broad Way Sleep is a songwriting collective I became involved with this past year. The album is out now, available on ITUNES and features songs co-written and co-produced by me. Broad Way Sleep also features my partner in hip hop crime Arowbe Arowbe Arowbe and close friend Sarah Shafey. All this is produced under the masterful creation of Ralph Joseph, who is also the lead songwriter, executive producer and ultimately the driving force behind all of Broad Way Sleep.
Ralph and I hit the studios at CIUT 89.5 in Toronto a couple weeks ago and recorded a couple acoustic tracks for the station’s Take 5 show. Please enjoy both Too Late & Five Four Woman.

Zombies – The To Die Remix EP

“Times Neue Roman’s “To Die EP” is back from the dead. The band has released: “Zombies: The To Die Remixes” on INTELLEGENIX/ELECTROBOUNCE .
The reworked EP features remixes, edits, sketches and sequels to songs off the original EP as well as a bonus remix of the bands latest single, “Roq Roq”.
Since debuting in 2008, Times Neue Roman have been making big waves with recent placements on the EA Sports Fight Night: Round 4 and TV series’ CSI: Las Vegas, A&E’s The Cleaner, MTV Presents: Summer Sessions and 11th Hour. “
A Sleepless Experience

2 Months and a week later and here I am finally posting. If you don’t know I just had a son Fall 2009. I have been wildly busy on that front and am now getting my world together again. It was an amazing time uplugged from this Matrix, unplugged from the system. Kicked back in front of firepits, friends and family. My son, Kawayan, has been sending me telepathic messages to keep pushing the music. Just the other night he wouldn’t let me lie before 5am before I finished a hype new beat. If I sat he cried, when I created he quietly lied.
So as a celebration to the birth of my iLLest one, Kawayan Alexander Punzalan here is a track/instrumental of the 6th draft track for Fe’ne-tiks. The interesting sound is an instrument made of Bamboo, coincedientally Kawayan means Bamboo in Tagalog (national Filipino language). Enjoy.

I’ll be posting on the regular from here on. Even with Kawayan’s arrival the world in no way has hit pause, and EVERYTHING is moving forward at an incredible rate. Hit me a comment and tell me what you think. 2010 is going to be a big one.
